We were told the story of a sweet
elderly lady who, during the open house of this temple, was silently crying in
the Celestial room. Someone noticed her asked if she was OK. She explained, "I never thought, we
would have a temple here. I am so grateful."
As Kendall painted this painting he thought of the elderly lady and
painted "gratitude" for the blessings of having the temple. He painted the beautiful sweet peach colors
and feelings onto the temple, in the sky, and around the temple, that are
symbolic to the people there. He named this painting "Blessed"
A beautiful
temple of the Lord has been placed in our midst. We are blessed.
"Blessed is
the people that know the joyful sound. They shall walk,
O Lord, in the light of thy countenance." Psalms 89:15
